Short Biography:

John Keklak is a Lecturer of Computer Science at Boston University, and a researcher and consultant in software engineering. Mr. Keklak has earned patents in a number of areas of software, including CAD/CAM, and is President of Building Block Software, Inc., a Sudbury, MA software engineering and components firm focused on CAD/CAM.

Mr. Keklak teaches CS112, an introduction to algorithms and data structures, and CS411 Software Engineering, an introduction to the fundamentals of software engineering. CS112 covers basic sorting and search algorithms, as well as fundamental data structures such as stacks, queues, trees and graphs. CS411 covers requirements, estimating, design and testing, and incorporates a number of Mr. Keklak's engineering techniques, including the practice of verifying software designs with modeling.

Mr. Keklak earned BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from MIT in 1981 and 1982, respectively.
